Mexico City artist Ana Tuirán encompasses a full spectrum of emotions in her songs. From homesickness to heart-acke, filled with catchy folk-pop melodies, she brings Mexico into her lyrics by mixing community and culture.
Tuirán graduated from McNally Smith College of Music in Composition & Songwriting in 2016. After completing her studies she became a part of the Twin Cities music scene, and was named one of Minnesota's 10 best new performers by The Current and congressman Keith Ellis. In April of 2016 she released a live EP - Live at The Hideaway. Recorded at the Hideaway Studios in North East Minneapolis.
She has been the opening act for several bands and artists in Minnesota and Mexico as well as being the main act in venues like The Icehouse, Amsterdam Bar & Hall, The Cedar Cultural Center amongst many others.
She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY interning for Flux Studios where she has assisted for several recording sessions including artists like Ingrid Michaelson, Sara Bareilles, Banda Magda and more.
Tuirán is now in the process of writing her debut album.
